Found in Helsinki is a collection of kitchen towels are screen-printed with patterns inspired by National Romantic architectural details observed in Helsinki. Each pattern is named after the street or area from which it takes influence. There are seven patterns within the collection: Uudenmaankatu, Rehbinderintie, Töölönkatu, Kallion Kirkko, Puu-Käpylä, Helsinginkatu and Fabianinkatu.

The textiles are screen-printed by hand in Helsinki on to a linen/cotton mix using water-based inks. 

Kallion Kirkko. This pattern is inspired by the decorative copper light fittings outside of Kallio Church.

Puu-Käpylä. This pattern is inspired by timber motifs within the colourful cladding in the Puu-Käpylä area.

Uudenmaankatu. This print is inspired by stone carvings at the Otava bookshop.

Helsinginkatu. Inspired by ornament at Ebeneser House.

Fabianinkatu. Referencing pattern at the Helsinki University buildings.

Rehbinderintie. Inspired by bay windows in Eira.

Töölönkatu. Inspired by a decorative gable in Töölö.
